Policy on the Use of AI and AI-Enabled Technologies

The editorial board of this scientific journal recognizes the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in scientific research and supports their responsible use, provided that the principles of academic integrity, transparency, and the reproducibility of research results are upheld.
This Policy defines acceptable and unacceptable areas of AI application in the preparation of scientific publications and establishes requirements for disclosing information about its use.
1. General Provisions
1.1. AI technologies are defined as software tools that use machine learning algorithms, natural language processing, generative models, etc. (including systems for the automatic generation of text, images, code, or data analysis).
1.2. Authors bear full responsibility for the content of submitted materials regardless of the use of AI tools.
1.3. AI tools may not be listed as authors or co-authors of scientific publications.
2. Permissible Use of AI
Authors may use AI technologies for:
text editing (grammar, style, translation);
technical data processing (analysis, visualization), provided that the results are verified;
generating supplementary materials (e.g., illustrations), provided this does not affect the scientific novelty of the work;
improving the quality of text structuring.
All results obtained using AI must be critically reviewed by the author.
3. Prohibited Use of AI
The following is prohibited:
using AI to create core scientific content (hypotheses, conclusions, interpretations) without proper verification and the author’s contribution;
presenting AI-generated text as one’s own original research;
fabricating or falsifying data using AI;
using AI to manipulate the peer review process or conceal plagiarism;
creating fictitious sources, references, or results.
4. Disclosure Requirements
4.1. If AI is used, authors are required to disclose this in the manuscript.
4.2. Information regarding the use of AI must be provided in a separate section (e.g., “Use of AI Technologies” or in the “Methodology” / “Acknowledgments” section) and must include:
the name of the tool;
the purpose of use;
the scope of application.
4.3. Example wording:
“Artificial intelligence tools were used for language editing of the text during the preparation of the manuscript. The authors have reviewed the manuscript and bear full responsibility for the content of the publication.”
5. Verification and Responsibility
5.1. The editorial board reserves the right to review manuscripts for improper use of AI.
5.2. In the event of violations, the following measures may be applied:
rejection of the manuscript;
retraction of the article;
notification of the author’s institution;
other actions in accordance with the journal’s academic integrity policy.
6. Final Provisions
This Policy is an integral part of the journal’s editorial policy and must be strictly adhered to by all authors, reviewers, and members of the editorial board.
The editorial board regularly updates the provisions of this Policy in light of technological developments and recommendations from international organizations.
